Omni16C Ex ic Remote Display (No LEDs)
24Vdc Powered Ex ic Display for explosive atmospheres 16 Potential Free Contact Input backlit display (order separately). Supplied with templates to print legends for alarm windows. Driven by 24Vdc inputs Comm-ve or +ve. For use in Zone 2, Gas Groups IIA, IIB and IIC. OverviewThe Omni16 C1486A-EX Remote Display is a backlit Remote Display suitable for use in hazardous environments. The Omni16C Display once mounted is fully enclosed in an Ex nA enclosure to allow location in the hazardous area. ConfigurationThe C1486A-EX accepts 16 inputs. The unit can be configured as either a positive-common or negative common by reversing the LED display boards. MechanicalThe restricted-breathing enclosure mounts around a panel cut-out which is made to accommodate the C1486A. The C1486A is secured with jacking bars and stud holes are drilled surrounding the cut-out to accommodate the gasketed front cover. Once the Remote Display is mounted into the panel cut-out the gasketed rear enclosure is then bolted over the Remote Display from behind the panel ensuring an airtight seal on the front and rear of the panel. ElectricalThe wiring & electrical connections follow the same order as the standard C1486A except they enter the Ex nA enclosure via glands on the housing. Compliance to StandardsThe C1486A-EX Remote Display complies with the same standards as the standard Omni16 and has been assessed as suitable for use in SIL1 applications as specified in IEC61508. The additional standard that the C1486A-EX complies with is the Explosion Protection standard: IEC60079-0 and IEC60079-11 , category Ex ic (formerly Ex nL). Backlit LED Display BoardsThe C1486A-EX is only available in the 24Vdc backlit LED version. These LED Boards are available in Red, Yellow, White, Blue,Orange and Green.
