FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Omniflex are international leaders in industrial monitoring and control, with specialist expertise in M2M applications.
In the scope of the RoHS (2002/95/EC) and WEEE (2002/96/EC) Directives Omniflex products are classified as Category 9 equipment, for industrial fixed installations. As such they fall outside the scope of these Directives. Nevertheless, Omniflex recognizes that eliminating hazardous substances from our products is beneficial not only to the environment but also to Omniflex customers and employees. We are therefore undertaking to ultimately achieve RoHS compliance of all our products. This process is already under way and our engineering team is adapting our products to use RoHS-compliant components and manufacturing processes, while at the same time ensuring that new technologies have no adverse impact on either reliability or functional safety.
We also realise that while we are striving for maximum product reliability, our products in fixed installations do eventually reach their end-of-life phase. We therefore encourage our customers to return them to Omniflex in such cases, for professional recycling.
